THE PROJECT

Looking to attract a new audience to baseball, the Home Run Derby X (HRDX) is a new baseball format taking place over three events in London, Seoul and Mexico City. Four teams representing MLB’s most historic clubs—Boston Red Sox, Chicago Cubs, Los Angeles Dodgers, and New York Yankees—battle it out to be crowned HRDX Champion.

 

MLB needed a series of emails to explain the game format, create publicity and excitement around each event, and generate ticket sales.

THE WORK

I wrote the copy for the launch email to generate ticket sales ahead of the London event.

 

The visual impact of the email design helped to inject a lot of energy into the event—something the copy had to match.
