Lacking the staying power of some of the big brands, small businesses were disproportionately affected during the pandemic. So Meta for Business stepped in, offering grants to those suffering the most.
The ensuing stories told a tale of perseverance, innovation, and hope—one that Meta wanted to bring to life.
I interviewed seven brand owners to uncover their unique ‘Winners Stories’, writing each one up as a case study in Meta for Business’ tone of voice.
To centre the small businesses, each story is written in a very matter of fact tone, refraining from the use of adjectives or adverbs. I used key facts from each interview to provide a sense of drama and narrative throughout, whilst alternating sentence length to affect the pace and maintain interest.
The case studies were then designed and produced by the design agency, Human After All.
